Jessamy & Ryan's Iscoyd Park Wedding...

Well, this is something I haven't done in a while. Sitting down, laptop open, but instead of editing, I'm doing a blog...

Those of you who kindly follow me on Instagram you may have seen the latter part of 2021 has been rather busy. 92 weddings in six months busy. As such, blogging has been impossible.

What a mad buzz!

Anyway, before I get into the nitty-gritty of Jessamy & Ryan's Iscoyd Park wedding let me introduce myself to those that haven't come across my photography before. I'm James, a wedding photographer based in the Cotswolds, UK.

Nice to meet you.

Photographing Weddings At Iscoyd Park...

One thing I get asked a lot is how I get the gigs I do, it must look to the outsider I rock from one mega venue to the next shooting the beautiful people! Well, there's a bit of that, but the truth is I'm eleven years in, photographed over 1,000 weddings. In that time I have always tried my very best to look after all my clients as well as I can and take the best photographs which are in me. It's not rocket science, but it's honest and it works.

Jessamy and Ryan found me through loads of different prongs. Iscoyd Park (probably Char) recommended me (thanks Char!). I have also photographed many friends and people in their circle. As such, a quick Zoom call and we were on.

Even though I have shot Iscoyd Park many times in the past, Jessamy and Ryan's wedding was right in the heart of November, the weather forecast looked shocking and I was like... A-Game is needed.

The weather was mad - four seasons in one day, but we got the holy grail... SNOW. Snow is like a shiny in a sticker album, extrodianrily rare, but even if you do get snow, if it's not the right kind of snow it doesn't add anything to the look of the pictures. Rather, it simply makes people cold wet and miserable. As you hopefully have seen from my header photograph, we had the right kind of snow!

The Creative Arts...

Jessamy and Ryan are in the creative arts both big hitters in the Theatre and TV. They met (I could be completely wrong with this) on the set of Les Miserables and have gone off to be in loads of fab stuff. Jess is currently playing Liberty in Hollyoaks. Madly, one of my mates Abi Phillips played the original Liberty. They don't know each other and was a total coincidence. How mental.

Since the wedding, I have had the most lovely comments from the day. It has blowen me away if I am being honest.

Before I sign off, I just wanted to say thank you to Jessamy and Ryan for having me. As well as everyone at Iscoyd, and all the other suppliers who made the day so remarkable and utterly rememberable.

James

Testomonial:

Myself and Ryan are both honestly astounded by the photos; the quality, quantity are more than we could have ever dreamt. Ryan said “that guy honestly made me want to get my photo took and I hate my photo being taken”.

We had the best day of our lives and we honestly believe we had the best photographer to capture it (and now your photos back this up). You were the biggest hit with all our guests and I know you’ll be getting some bookings from your amazing personality and way you shot our wedding (our friends have been enquiring/ pushing their other halves to propose haha)

Enjoy your wedding today

All out love
